Testing sliders for Season 2
Guys I want everyone over the weekend to try and test some sliders, tell me what you think. Play with your teams against good teams or at least equal teams. Play sim, and play 7 min quarters
I wanna hear about your scores, stats, impressions... too easy too hard, too amny stats, etc
Set 1 - Playmakers Varsity SLiders http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football-sliders/336862-playmakers-ncaa-10-varsity-sliders-360-a.html
I know varsity screams too easy, but ive played these in another dynasty and they are actually hard, and you dont have the superhuman AI plays that heisman has against the CPU sometimes
Set 2 Phillyfans Heisman SLiders - http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football-sliders/335629-phillyfan23s-heisman-sliders.html
The set I had hoped to use, but may pick a diff one.
Set 3 Spliffs Heisman sliders
Heisman difficulty:
6 min qtrs.
Quiz the QB - off

Rush Defense 30/35
Tackling 50/40
Special Teams
FG power 30/30
Fg Accuracy 30/40
Punt Power 50/50
Punt accuracy 50/60
Kickoff Power 50/60
Penalties

Re: Testing sliders for Season 2
When you play these games, play a half or something, if youw ant. But dont play 1 game, and lose cuz you make some bad throws or w.e then give ur opinion they suck and are too hard. Play several games or halves and base your opinion on those, as a whole.
Re: Testing sliders for Season 2
I played a game on the heisman sliders before i played my bowl game and i will write up stuff about that game when I get home, sadly i dont have the stats but i do remember some notable stats that will help.
If all goes well im goign to be playing 3 games against FL St, Louisville, and Miami (the 3 teams that beat me last year, the last two being on the harder sliders). All will go well if i lose to them or play in close games
I would recommend playing at least one game against teams that are in the top 15 because all those schools are rated B+ or better and will give you a good challenge then play one against an similarly rated school or school that is in your conference.

Re: Testing sliders for Season 2
First game Phillyfan's Heisman Sliders:
Kansas State 17 USF 0 Halftime
USF 0-12 3rd down conversions
That is the only stat that i remember because it pissed me off so much i couldnt move the ball on 3rd down. I had something like 10 4th down conversions just to move the ball or i would have been 3 and out every single time, and thats is pretty much all i remember stat wise. Otherwise i dont think i could run the ball all to well maybe 2 yds a carry for a 90 RB with a solid OL. Passing game was all wacked out with me throwing passes all over the place and it didnt seem like i could win either way. I tap it, goes 50 yds in the air straight up...hold it slightly, slings across the screen like a bullet...i hold it, it searches for the nearest defender and gift wraps it for him. I wish i could remember more stats but i was soo pissed at that i shut the game off and didnt care (i had a bowl game that night and was trying to keep my spirits up) about recording stats
Second game Phillyfan's Heisman Sliders:
Game Wrap-up
Some would look at the stats and say oh thats not a bad game then you look at the turnover stat...this is were ea decided to say you suck you arent going to win. 3 count them 3 straight fumbles in a row on the first play from scrimmage (and i was not playing on aggressive). Set them up with 17 points right away and well shit never looked back after that. Which brings me to my frist gripe Heisman just says we are going to fuck you, doesnt matter how, you are just gonna get fucked and you are going to like it.
Second gripe is with the passing game. Now my numbers are alright but there were way to many arrent throws. Its like the CPU just flipped a coin and said well this pass is going 100 miles in the wrong direction, and i didnt even get hit! And this was not even with me all of the CPUs incompletes were not because i broke them up its because they were thrown completely where no WR would be at all. All 3 picks were because the ball got thrown straight to the other team. Oh then the deflections i have 1 all game. 1 goddamn deflection that means that my CBs were out of position every single time the ball was thrown. I dont think my guys were even near their WRs at all during pass plays. As for my pass plays i think i had one play in which i had separation from their secondary and that was on a Fly route from a hail mary ball at the end of the half. All the other plays their CBs were all over my guys and were jumping routes in most cases.
Third gripe is with the running game. I am happy with the rushing yards i put up against them and what i held them to in terms of stats. But I should had more...there were times where there was a hole the size of Texas with guys getting sealed off and then right when i hit the hole magically that guy sheds the block and tackles me for no gain or 1 yard when in reality that player would have never had the time to run completely around a blocker and tackle me from 5 yds away. I think this was more evidence of Heisman trying to fuck me...i was defiantly bending over all game if this was the case
Ok on to the last gripe...the penalties. There was one drive where i dont think the offense moved the ball at all and it was entirely moved forward and back with penalties (ok slight exaggeration). The stats shown there does not even represent all of the penalties i cant count how many were called on 3rd down that were declined for me but it was a sizable amount. Holding was the most popular call by far and hurt them just as it hurt me. I like the number of penalties called just its stupid when its the same one, i think other team got called for Roughing the passer once and i got called for Intentional grounding once (which was user error so doesnt count ), and if it was about 5-7 penalties a game with maybe 2-3 holding a game each side it would be alright. Maybe im just not used to penalties being called in the game but either way around 14-15 holding penalties a game is way too much imo
Wrap-up:
Well in conclusion while this does make it tougher...i think it is way too tough. The AI just tells you to grab your ankles way too much and putting together a solid drive is harder than you think. Yes granted i played a slightly better team than I am on the road but still as the other game was played a neutral site with me as the home team (advantage me being able to pump up the crowd). I was running into alot of the same problems.

Re: Testing sliders for Season 2
Played a quarter and half, I turned it off to advance the dynasty. Used the Varsity sliders
Impressions:
7 min may be too long, maybe go 6 min
UGA was winning 10-7. I had just scored.
CPU ran the ball pretty well
I had tough time running, passed ok, tho i would miss a WR by 5 yards now and then

OMG this is the most intense game i have ever played! I will get more in depth later on tonight. The last 4 turnovers were my fault and the reason why the scored 28 unanswered points on me. I got to giddy i guess because i was beat
