Re: Week 4
In normal pathetic Ed fashion, I lose to LSU 44-42. Was down by 20 and came back to go ahead 42-41 just to have the drive down the field to kick the game winning fg with no time left...hard to believe my line can go from 40 some pancakes in a game to 1...but I guess that's life...god I hate this game

Yea the game likes to shit on you sometimes. Like them coming back being down 28 and comign back and winning by 3 with no time left. Giving up 31 points in the 4th quarter is brutal

Re: Week 4
I sent longhorn8005 a message this morning, i can play tonight, but the timing is gonna depend on work. I work in the IT department in a bank and we recently went through a conversion to a core processing system. I've been working a lot this week working out the kinks. I should be home tonight around 5 but may be stuck as late as 9 like last night. I left him my # so if he just txts or call me we should be able to have it done tonight.

Thats fine, for user games I dont care to take an extra day if needed due to schedules not meshing

I'll be home at 5. So if you're home then we can play. I have a meeting for school 8-11. So those three hours will be the only time I'm not available.

Re: Week 4
WEEK 4 - OK ST. VS BAYLOR
The 'Boys were coming off a huge upset win over Cal that notched them #21 in this weeks poll and look across the field at the countries leading passer QB Griffin and his Baylor offence. Coach Macc was furious that his defence gave up 400 yards in the air last week and they worked all week to improve that. For some reason this year passing yards seem to come in bunches. (THOSE SLIDERS SUCK! lol)
The Cowboys forced a 3 and out after the first kick off of the game, sacking Griffin twice in a row and making him throw from third and a mile to only complete well short of the first down. With the ball in their hands, QB Brandon Weeden led his troops on the field and handed the ball off to Kyle Staley who had plenty of holes to run through. Staley notched nearly 50 yards on the first drive alone and the drive was capped off with a quick strike to TE Basset and the extra point made it 7-0. Basset then proceeded to come down the field on the ensuing kick off and BLASTED Baylor's returner, obviously still fired up from his first college touch down.
Baylor got their offence together and drove all the way down the field on the next drive. Griffin was pressured but proved to be elusive enough to slip all the sack attempts and on the final play of their drive chucked it up in the far left corner to be picked off (user pick may I add) to give the Cowboys the ball back. This was the first of six picks on the day for the Cowboys defence.
Although they had six picks, Coach Macc was livid with his pass defence for giving up 400+ yards through the air AGAIN. Coach Macc still gave the game ball to FS J. Thomas who had 14 tackles (4 TFL) and 2 picks. This kid was a BALLHAWK all game near or making the play nearly every time somebody crossed the LOS or even behind! He played like a man possessed!
It was a pretty good game, very back and forth. Some rediculous catches once again made by the computer kept their drives going, Griffin completed passes he had no business completeing when he was more than half way to the ground for a sack. That's part of the game, though.
They kept it close for the majority of it but in the 4th quarter on their potential tying drive once again OK ST. picked the ball off in the endzone and ran it all the way back down the field.
Once again OK ST. gave up 400+ yards passing and got burned on 3rd down three times I think. Really need to work on my pass D as I rank second last in the country (at least I did when I had completed my game with an extra game on everyone else... hoping this stat decreases throughout the span of the week).
Expect the boys to be working hard all week to shut down Texas Tech's passing attack. Line backers once again prove they're some of the best in the nation giving up less than 40 yards on the ground.
Offence still solid, Weeden having a pretty good year - managing the clock well and not turning the ball over, making plays when he needs to. WR Adrian Richards put up 107 yards on 6 catches and 1TD.
Oklahoma State Passing
18/38-321 yards-4TD
Baylor Passing
21/33-425 yards-4TD
Oklahoma State Rushing
21-106 yards-2TD
Baylor Rushing
20-35 yards-0TD
Final Score - OK ST wins 42-27.

Re: Week 4
The huskies are on very shaky ground. A tough matchup against Arizona St was the wakeup call Coach Thompson needed to get ready for next week's game against Coach Strouse and his new look Texas A&M Aggies. Juco Sophmore Mike Davis was giving the starting nod and he delivered amazingly. Racking up over 115 yds, 2 TD's and a 79 yard reception where he was magically caught form behind at the 5 yard line. The offense was very efficient as Pierre Smith did not have to throw much in his second game of the season and was on his game as he threw 2TD's and 1 INT that was a result of the WR not getting leverage on the inside. Freshman David Johnson continues to use his 6'7 frame to his advantage as he had a jump ball TD grab in the redzone. Coach Thompson stated after the game "I think David is a key commodity at slot and he hasme considering going to more 3WR sets to keep the defense on their toes". The Huskies defense was in a bend but dont break mode as they were hit hard through the air on a combination of broken coverages and horrible tackling. The lone bright spots were the highly touted freshman as 3* DE Coleman registered a sack late in the game, MLB Tyrell Blair got a pick off of another bullrush by Coleman, and ESPN and Rivals.com #1 Recruit Garret Moody had over 5TFL's and 2 sacks, quickly showing he will be a force against quarterbacks and anyone going across the middle for the next 4 years (hopefully ). Next up is Texas A&M and if the Huskies can control the line of scrimmage and not get beat too much through the air they have a strong shot at the W.

Re: Week 4
Hey I'm really sorry I'm not gonna be able to get my name in, I have a big test tomorrow and I have to study for it cause I want to do well, I'll play my game in the morning. I'm on the crew team at Temple University and i have a packed schedule during the week, what with practice and study hall. So I'm sorry if I am a little late with my games.

Re: Week 4
Thats fine we can wait till tomorrow this time.
I understand you got a lot going on man. Sometimes we all do. But it cant become a habit of being the only one holding everyone up or it will get simmed (the disregard list) and eventually replaced
Just saying, its not an issue at all yet so no worries right now.

Re: Week 4
got my game in. Horrible performance, 5 fumbles, one taken back for a td, one picked of on an intended pitch on an option run, just a sloppy game in general played by MSU. 28-14 South Carolina
