Mid Season Report - Title Picture
As it stands right now at Week 9, Texas is #1 and Ole Miss is #2 in the BCS. So they are in the drivers seat.
#1 Texas (who just beat #15 Nebraska) still has to play #12 Oklahoma St, #21 Texas A&M, and the Big 12 title game.
#2 Ole Miss (Clark) still has the SEC to contend with, and the SEC title game. But the hard part of their schedule is behind them, other than #24 Tenn.
#3 GT lost this week to Clemson, so there goes their title hopes. They have a cake schedule rest of way, so if they win out and win the ACC title, they could sneak back in with 1 loss with some help.
#4 Boise St is undefeated and has a CAKEWALK the rest of the way. But their SoS could hurt them as they played no ranked teams all season.
#5 UCF (JStrouse) is undefeated still and has a pretty easy schedule except for 5-2 Houston. They should win out, and it will be interesting to see if they get in over Boise and the 1 loss power teams like Illinois, Texas (if they lose), etc
#6 Notre Dame is 7-0 with only #25 USC left on their schedule to post a real threat. Not having a conf champion could hurt them.
#7 Maryland (Goode) has their only loss to Stokes and Illinois, and only has #18 Iowa and 5-2 UGA to go on their schedule to pose a real threat. If they win out and win the ACC (and beat likely GT in champ game of it) they will have a right to be in there IMO over UCF, Boise, and ND.
#8 Florida was upset to unranked Kentucky (who also almost beat Ole Miss) and blanked #24 Tenn 37-0. They only have a 5-2 UGA team left on their schedule to make it to the SEC title game vs likely Ole Miss for the 2nd season in a row.
#9 Surprise upstart Colorado beat top #10 Oklahoma last week to move way up this list. They only have #15 Nebraska to go to win out, and make it to the Big 12 title game likely against Texas. Hoping for Colorado to beat Texas to knock the Big 12 out of the title game.
#10 Illinois lost an OT thriller to Wisc last week when Stokes had his game simmed due to working a double shift and the commish didnt know so he advanced. Otherwise he would be top 3 right now. Illinois has a win over #7 Maryland, and since Wisconsin is now #16, and they have ranked games left against Penn St, Ohio State, Washington, and Clemson... if he wins out over 4 ranked teams to win a total of 5 ranked games on the season, how can you keep out a 1 loss Illinois team over Boise, UCF, and other 1 loss teams?
Outside Shots
#12 Washington's one loss was at Kansas State in a 3 point thriller. They have beaten ranked USC and Cal, and still play the #10 Illinoi the last game of the season. If they win out, and Illinois wins out to that point... a win there might propel Washington into the title game over other 1 loss teams and the 0 loss teams iwth weak SoS... but they likely will need another team or 2 to lose a game.

Re: Mid Season Report - Title Picture
Ok here's what I think is going to happen ....hopefully Texas or Ole Miss has to lose (sorry clark lol)...don't be surprised if Boise St gets in though even with a weak SOS...one year I did in 09 had BYU win the title even though teams with 1 loss had tougher SOS...if UCF runs the table they'll be in...Notre Dame is gona probably lose to USC...MAryland will get jumped in the polls...Florida and Colorado will lose their title games lol...Illinois or Wash will jump up...so here's how I'd project the top 5 final BCS rankings:
1. Ole Miss or Texas
2. UCF
3. Wash or Illinois (winner of user game in week 15)
4. Boise St
5.Florida
1. Ole Miss or Texas
2. UCF
3. Wash or Illinois (winner of user game in week 15)
4. Boise St
5.Florida

Re: Mid Season Report - Title Picture
Maryland got beat today in the Rain at Miami... just a game the CPU decided they was gonna win no matter what.
Washington is #6 and will move up to at least #5, so they have leaped alot of ppl and have a real shot now
UCF up to for with the loss for Texas.
Ole Miss is now the #1 team in the country. ND vaults up to #2, and Boise 3.
UCF and Washington need to win out, and hope for ND and Boise to lose I think
