Few User games in this week as well. We will try to advance in a timely manner to make up for the past holiday weekend delays...

Week 6 Empty TCU @ Wyoming

Post  edwvu76 Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:01 am

TCU 59 @ Wyoming 14
War Memorial Stadium - Laramie, Wyoming

Week 6 991A0001_3_JPEG_SCREENSHOT_YHi

The #17 ranked Horned Frogs took the 3rd ranked rushing attack into War Memorial Stadium and took their frustration out on the Cowboys. The very first play of the game was a pick 6 by CB Johnson and the smothering TCU defense didn't let up from there. The relentless defensive line would end the day with 6 sacks and numerous hits on Wyoming QB Benjamin. This led to many lame duck passes, one that would be taken back 66 yards by backup safety Jones. The offense was again led by true freshman Terrell as he gained 102 yards and 2 TD's on 16 carries. Backup Dean would add 77 yards and a score on 12 carries with third stringer Wesley added 53 yards and a score on only 6 carries. Dean should have had another, but stupid EA can't get anything right and the option play counted as a incomplete pass. Dalton didn't need to pass much as he went 6 for 11 for 105 yards and a TD. Backup Gellegos went 3 for 4 for 51 yards and a score as the backups were in before halftime. WR Johnson led all receivers with 69 yards on 3 catches, one of them going for six. Young added 65 yards on his only catch for a TD. Next week TCU has a bye before traveling to take on the high powered option attack of Air Force!!!!

USF v Ole Miss

Game was cancelled do to lack of internet will be replayed at a later date.

Final score i think was 48-28 Ole Miss, stats will have to wait until they sim and im not sure if clark got any highlights from the game or not

Nope, didn't bother since it had to be replayed

Final score ended up the same.

For Ole MIss, Bolden had 201 Yards on 28 carries and 4 TD. Snead had a couple TD passes and around 300 yds

Mitchell, the stud WR for USF, had over 200 yds rec and 3 TD, and also a KR TD

Congrats on the win Ed!! Seems like your horned frogs can run all over!!! The 3rd stringer? That's what you call depth right there!

I play all three every game....I'm trying to have my top two average about the same amount of carries, but it seems that one of them gets hurt for a period during every game....so I always use one more than the other. I am sick of EA not being able to get anything right...no reason a option should count as a incomplete pass!!!! I know it doesn't matter, but it screwed me out of about 90 total rushing yards.

Ya in our game yesterday Dotts ran an option, I drilled the HB before pitch got to him, ball bounced on the ground and was ruled an incomplete pass... and it was backwards pitch

I've been trying to use my main 2 backs since Polk was dynamite before being hurt last year...then Shaw came in and had an All Pac 10 season...I've tried doing auto subs..spell hb...but in the last game I alternated each offensive series. Razz

Maryland vs Clemson

Things looked up for Clemson early, the crowd at Death Valley was rocking, and the Terps threw a pick on their first play from scrimmage, leading to a Tigers TD. But that was about all she wrote for Clemson, as timely passing, a nice ground game, and turnovers spelled doom for the Death Vally faithful.

Maryland rolls to a 28-14 win behind a solid Rushing performance from Davin Meggett, son of former NY Giant great, Dave Meggett. He ran for 141 yds and 2 TD on just 22 carrys, including a 54 yard scamper up the middle in the 3rd quarter. That 3rd quarter also saw a fumble return for a TD.

QB Jamarr Robinson went 16 for 21 for 231 yds, throwing 1 TD and 1 Int. But he converted several key 3rd downs to keep drives going.

The Maryland D came up with 4 Ints to go with the fumble recovery.
