Week 3 Empty Week 3

Post  gameface1324 Wed Sep 02, 2009 7:48 am

Is up

Sorry the advance took an extra day or so, it was only fair to wait on Stokes since I had told him to wait for me to replace Maryland.

I will advance to week 4 asap, we still are dealing with user games for another couple days so, it could advance 24 hours, or 48 if ppl just cant schedule games till then

Lubbock, Texas
TCU 34 Texas Tech 24

TCU goes into Lubbock and takes down Texas Tech 34-24. My defense started off horrible letting them score on their first two possesions. After that they settled down and didn't let them have a TD. The only other TD was a pick 6 cause my QB has no accuracy at all, not sure if it's the sliders or just my qb, but 50% of my passes aren't even close, even with no pressure and my guy being wide open. Dalton finished 14-24 with 3 TD's and 3 Int. Freshman HB Terrell had another outstanding day rushing for 134 on 20 carries with his counterpart Dean adding 36 on 9 carries with a TD. WR Kerley had a huge day catching 4 balls for 139 and a score. TE Logan Brock only caught two passes, but both were huge as they each went for touchdowns. Tank Carder added a interception for the defense, witch started off slow but everyone contributed, with no player having more than 4 tackles, but 7 guys having at least 2. Next up for TCU is BYU as they play 4 out of their next 5 games on the road.

Nice win Ed.

The QB accuracy setting is low, but that slider only amplifies other things. QB ratings in accuracy + the route + how har dyou press the button (velocity of ball) + throwing while offbalanced or off back foot

All those can affect if a ball is on target.

I played theses same settings in 2 games yesterday with different teams in different ODs... and I dont think I ever completely overthrew WRs badly.

My point is, there is some randomness to it, along with the above factors. It will vary from game to game

yeah I'm not bitching...I understand, just sucks to have a wide open guy and no pressure and not moving the qb at all, and have the pass go straight to a defender 5 yards away.

Oh I know ur not, just didn't want you to get frustrated, and maybe try to pay attention to see if ur doing any of that on those wide open misses, like throwing off ur back foot. I had a bad habit of that, but it self corrected recently

Also guys, on these user vs user games, Id like to see the effort to schedule and play them in this thread if possible. Use AIM, here, and PSN to get em done asap

Hustle, grit, determination, these are some of the words that come to mind to Coach Thompson after his Washington Huskies lost a closs battle to the Kansas State Wikdcats 45-42. The Manhattan stadium was rocking all day and a TD on the opening drive sent them into a frenzy affraid . An interception on a bad read by Freshman QB Pierre Smith (15-20 225 yds 2 TD 2 INT) lead to another quick score and Washington was in an ealy 14-0 hole. The next drive they marched down the field but could only manage a field goal. From ther the scoring went haywire. The 4-2-5 defense was no match for K State passing attack as their wideouts beat the secondary to the ball 85% of the time. The defensive coordinator was frustrated but knew his guys would make a big play to get back into it. It was 24-10 at halftime but Coach T had confidence. "All I need is a big play and I'm right back in it". His special teams responded with a KO return TD to start the half. A good defensive series and a 4yd TD run by Chris Polk (12 car 95 yds 1TD) made it all even. Then a KO return TD given up by the huskies made their coach shake his head in disbelief. 32 points were put up in the 4th as the Huskies got a lot of deep passes to make it a ball game, but K state answered with 2 TD drives of their own. After recovering the onside kick they simply ran the clock out with 2 minutes to go. AN excellent game by both parties and Coach Thompson told Coach Dell that the visit to Huskie Stadium next year won't be a picnic. king

Key stats:
Wash KSU
First Downs 15 18
Tot Off 348 356
Rush-YD-TD 21-123-1 25-57-1
Comp-Att-TD 15-20-2 19-27-4
Yds 225 299
3rd Dwn 3-6 6-9
RdZne TD-FG 4-2-2 8-5-1
Turnover 2 1
Int 2 1
TOP 10:22 13:38

It was a great game. I was actually able to run it more than expected which was good. My run D played great as well they couldn't do much on the option. But the passing game...if you would have seen it you woulda been frustrated too...there were at least 4 passes were his QB Thomas got hit and my guys either got beat to the ball and it was a completion, or just missed out on the INT. He carved the middle of my D up the linebackers couldn't cover their men and my All Pac 10 corners were physically outmatched and out hustled. Can't wait to play him next yr!!!!

Play practice games with your team and run routes that cross or cut to get the timing down on how far you need to throw it, which direction on the stick you need to hold, etc. I rarely have passes like this any more unless i get excited and push the button too hard. You just need to actually think like a QB and judge how hard/soft, lead/no lead you need to give your WR. You cant be like Brett Farve and just throw it as hard as you can to the WR Very Happy

The Oracle

#24 UCF (0-0) v #13 USF (0-1)

When: Tonight 8 ET
Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
TV/Radio: Local Stations only

USF returns to Tampa for their home-opener against UCF and the war on I-4. With the bitter taste of defeat to Flordia last week on a last second FG made to win the game by 3, the Bulls will be looking for some revenge on their rival. Coach Dotts said today in at the press conference, "Mitchell is looking to duplicate his performance from last game and looks to impress those Heisman voters. Even though we played Flordia to a 3 point loss, we still need to not look past UCF has it will be an equally as tough battle." Coach Jstrouse05 could not be reached for comment at the time of this writing. On the TV front, due to technical difficulties with satellites the game will only be shown on local stations in both Tampa and Orlando. There was a rumor that a national radio broadcast might be able to be up for game time but what station and if this rumor is even true has yet to be confirmed. We will update you as soon as we find out anything.

Player to watch for USF #2 Carlton Mitchell
