2012 Heisman
This is where we should post about our guy we have thinking Heisman.
Mine is my Senior(RS) SS Caflisch. He's a fucking stud. 11 tackles 7 for loss and 2 sacks VS Ohio State, and those 2 sacks were against like 20 pass attempts, not to mention the hurries he got. I know it's a long shot for a defensive player to win it, much less a DB. But I have faith if he's healthy he'll be on the top 5 by the season's end.
Who you guys got?

I'm gona say my Soph RS HB Brandon Davis. He was a beast last year and he's balanced enough to turn the corner or run it up the gut and pop a DB trying to hit him straight up. With the new sliders and my focus on the run he can hit the 1800 yd 25 TD mark. For the Bednarik I'm gonna say super Soph Garrett Moody he's gona have a monster year in the 3-4. Predicting 20 sacks with my new blitz schemes hell yeah!!!!

Re: 2012 Heisman
I got no one, maybe my 99 CB?
Na, maybe my RS Soph QB, who is rated I think a 91 already. Those of you here season 1 remember I recruited him as the #1 overall player at the time Redshirted him season 2, last year he started but I was a run first team. He is poised for greatness I guess, with 3 90+ WRs this season
Blake Harrell, remember the name

Re: 2012 Heisman
...and you said you had a weak team this year.
My most obvious choice will be current Heisman candidate, WR Adrian Richards. He's a playmaker and almost always comes through in the clutch. He's a mis-match for almost any defence. He put up 1500+ 16TD's last year, so I'm hoping this years numbers will only increase that number.

Re: 2012 Heisman
I think we have 3 legitimate contenders.
1.Jr. WR Keenan Irvin
He had a heck of a year last year and he is still getting better. The first game of the season he had over 250 receiving yards and 3 TD's in the first half. I've never had a receiver this good. Nobody can keep up with him if he goes deep, but then if he catches one short he is always a threat to take it the distance. This kid is spectacular.
2. Jr. RB Brandon Wegher
He also had a heck of a year in a backup role. I think he had over 700 yd's and 10 TD's last year as a backup. Just think what he'll do this year as the starter. First game he had over 200 yd's rushing.
3. Sr. QB John Weinke
He is very solid, makes very few mistakes. Last year we were a more run oriented team and he had I think 2500 yd's and 20 TD's. This year we are working to become more balanced so I can predict a 3000 yd. 35 TD season. He is the ultimate game manager. If I had to compare him to an NFL player I would have to say Matt Ryan.

Garrett Moody will definitely have to battle with last year's Bednarik winner OLB Jamie Harrisson. He had 21 sacks last year and he is a beast. He literally won the championship game for me last year with his INT return for a touchdown and a huge forced fumble. And guess what he's much better this year.

I have no one, I run two backs all game, and I don't have a favorite reciever. I never have anyone close to the Heisman.

Re: 2012 Heisman
Imma throw his name out there he finished second on the heisman voting last year as a freshman WR Jason Porter he was the best wr in the league last year. but idk i have a tru fresh playing qb so might be hard to get him the ball. and i dont have that stud a wr on the other side so teams are gonna double on him when he starts to get hot. but maybe with a balanced run game this year we can be innovative in getting him the ball.

Re: 2012 Heisman
lol despite the cheese, Adrian Richards had a huge game putting up over 200 yards and 2 TDs. I bet he keeps his spot when we advance into the next week.

Re: 2012 Heisman
I cant really make a plug for any of my players on the Heisman we play as a team we win as a team. And the fact i have no real stand out player on my team. I have group of WRs i will throw to to spread the ball around and i have 2 RBs that are equally as good as each other so i will split time between them. Defensive side is the same thing, if i could nominate my entire defensive line i would. First game they were dominate, i think i had 6-7 sacks and 3 of them were on the last 4 plays of the game.
