Bowl Week

Post  gameface1324 on Fri Aug 21, 2009 9:07 pm

2 games up currently, Clemson and Air Force

on a side note, I beat Florida with a FG as time expired to win by 1... after intercepting a pass in their red zone with under 2 min to go, drove down and kicked it

956 greatness score

hardest game Ive ever played...

The best game I ever played was in 07 I was using FSU and was playing against Miami..it was only week 2 so I still had a shot at the title even with a loss and some outside help...Recruited this 5* 91 OVR Juco FS who was a BEAST...the game was back and forth all day my offense would get hot and score 2 quick TD's then their D would answer with a key turnover...the game went to 5 overtimes...miami scored a td but missed the conversion...i had to get 2 fourth down conversions just to keep the game alive..one of which i barely got it past the first down marker...scored the td...went for two...called an option...got hit as i made the pitch and my hb had to dive into the end zone for the win!!! i was goin crazy did my own TD dance and everything lmao

I'm one of the few with a game this week. I won't be able to knock that out until late tonight. Probably midnight or so. I'm out of the house all day today.

sorry about that. I don't know how long my game has been ready to play because I fell asleep at 5:30 after getting home from work on Friday then I was gone all day yesterday at a friend's football game. I played last night at about 2am, so it should be good to move on this morning.

So Monday is totally out of the question then... I just really want to get on to the offseason asap. But if we have to wait, then we just have to wait.

I got my game in last night...i thought the week was gona be advanced i wanted to check the stats of the other user games..12-1 Huskies hoping to break the top 10 in the final polls...but the game was tougher than I thought because I gave up a fumble for a touchdown from the first or second play from scrimmage...it was a bad game for both offenses yardage wise...can't wait to get the recruiting done :-D

Re: Bowl Week

Post  RapidToxin on Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:52 pm

I'm the new guy, just took over Maryland and had a great win over Florida to keep them undefeated on the season.

Held Florida to a punt on their first drive, then after being pinned on the five yard line from a great punt I drive down field only to make a bad throw which is tipped to pick six for Florida who leads 7 - 0. Then the next drive ends the same for Florida and in the second quarter I finally score twice to make it 14 - 7 followed by a field goal for Florida to make it 14 - 10. With thirty seconds left in the quarter on a nice jet option, I pitch it to the receiver who burns the defense for another TD to make it 21 - 10 at the end of the half. Urban Meyer must have said something to the troops at half as the third quarter was bad for the Terrapins with the loss of star RB D. Scott and another three added on for each team to make it 24 - 13.

The Gator offense turned it on in the fourth. Scoring a TD early and playing great defense to hold the Terrapins offense to no points until late when a long time wasting drive lands Maryland another field goal to make it 27 - 20. With 1:30 left the Gators offense strikes quick as blown coverage(read: accidentally controlled DB and messed up his coverage) lead to a 70 yard pass for Tebow to tie it at 27 to 27 with 1:20 seconds left but the Terrapins would get the last say on the outcome as they steadily ran down field until a key third down where the Gators made a fatal mistake by bringing the house and left the streaking slot receiver wide receiver wide open in the middle of the field and gets another dozen yards after the catch to get well into FG range for Ferrara and after another two runs the clock was down to ten seconds...five seconds....three...and the kick is up and GOOD as the clock expires to end the Tim Tebow era on a sour note as the the Terps secure the victory thanks to the hero kicker who went 3/4 on the day.

Classic Game score of 778
