To be honest I didnt think I had a shot at the SS, where I was 3rd and the T, I cant rem if I was 2 or 3 or what. I knew I had a good shot at the CB tho. Shocked to see all 4 of those commit to me in 1 week. Only leaves my 1 last spot for a G I desperately need

if you guys could stop recruiting, ok....that would be great. Oh and if you were to tell all your recruits to come to USF that would be great too.

Im hurting. It may be a rough year for me. Somehow I have 2 senior and 2 junior HBs, and a below avg freshman. Im not sure why, I thought I did well at HB recruiting.

Im also very weak on Oline, graduation has killed me and evidently I didnt recruit as well as I thought. Coul dhave 1 or 2 down seasons before Im back in the title game again

Yeah I'm hoping my squad improves a lot...definitely gonna have a QB battle...probably save it as an offline OD and play the first couple of games out to see which QB is gona do better...right now I'm leaning towards Leonard cuz he's more accurate...and smith is seriously overrated after a bad sophmore season lol...all my mother positions are pretty set...only other spot is the ROLB position and CB...my SS i switched to LB is gona be a beast like Shawn Merriman :-D i got freshman corners who are fast and can play bump and run real good...I don't know the schedule yet but we definitely can go for a 11 win season maybe a shot at the NC if we can get revenge for the games against Cal, A&M, and Ole Miss...I'm not worried bout USC this year my offense is gona be potent!!!!

Re: Offseason

Post  MaccMane24 on Sat Oct 31, 2009 5:47 pm

I'm going to have a serious QB battle and may even consider running a dual QB system. Robbie Macc's running ability is just too tempting to keep him on the bench. I've had more success when I stay in the pocket, especially in this OD but I'm wondering if that's because I've basically had to with Weeden having 70 > SPD and Trae having 60 > SPD. R-Macc's got 79 SPD and can throw bombs with 86 THP but Trae had such a solid freshman year I can only wait to see how well he's progressed.

My WR's are STUDS. I've got great, young talent and I'll be starting two of my recruits without a doubt. Mike Matthews is the best WR to come out of last years class at 83 OVR, standing 6'5 and is among the fastest WRs in the country with 95 SPD. He's a JUCO transfer so we lost a year of eligibility but he will be a BEAST this year, taking much of the pressure off of Adrian Richards. 10 TD's and 1000 yards, I'm callin' it.

I'm loaded with corners, no real lock-downs just yet. I've got my speed on the outside and my bump-n-runner's on the slots. Of course I expect my Soph. Chris Reed to have a huge progression having such an unreal freshman campaign.

I think I'll be able to compete in the Big 12 this year, if I can find a way to stick it to Strouse... there's no way I'm losing to my lone rival, Oklahoma. Texas game will be tough again I'm sure but if it's anything like last years I'll blow them out.

Yeah I signed a 3* WR 6'5 95 speed too i might redshirt him though..or have him in the slot reciever spot..gona use more 3 WR sets for sure..but my 1* FB is a beast blocking and we're gona still pound it down other teams throats...got a little crazy with Mike Davis's 95 speed my running game wasn't balanced at all..gona go back to splittin carries with my top 2 HB's...i'm hyped for this season when I saw my 4* SS's stats I was drooling at the thought of having a LB who can keep up with TE's and have the force to take em down too Laughing
